Turmeric, our favourite...

At Atelier du Sel, we take care to offer you herbs and aromatics selected with respect for nature and the land.

Among our favorite spices: turmeric! We use it in many of our flavored salts for its incomparable sunny taste and its exotic touch that goes so well with everything.

In addition to deliciously flavoring sea salt, coarse or fine, turmeric is a spice with a thousand virtues: anti-inflammatory, source of vitamins, ally for the skin, asset against cholesterol and the prevention of certain cancers, remedy against disorders digestive and regenerative of brain cells, Turmeric is definitely a miracle root.

Far from the Camargue and Provence, turmeric originates from Southeast Asia, where it has long been used for its medicinal properties. It is also one of the main ingredients of the traditional Indian Carry (Kari) dishes in sauce that we now call Curry (and which ended up giving its name to the spice mix that we all know).

Turmeric can now be found everywhere, from supermarket shelves to regional farmers' markets. So why deprive yourself ? It is so good for health!
